Pointsbet Bonus: The Wagering Condition That Decides Your Withdrawal

You logged in, opted in and played, then found the bonus money locked because you missed the wagering condition. That one rule decides when your bonus turns into cash you can take out. Here is what it means for your money and how to use the offer without getting stuck.

Activating the Bonus

Claiming the offer takes a few deliberate steps, and each one matters. Follow this sequence every time you log in to use the bonus.

Open the sportsbook or casino section and sign in with your usual details. A single login gives you access to both the sports and casino areas.
Go to the promotions page and find the welcome offer. Read the short summary before you click anything.
Select the bonus and press the opt-in button. The offer is only attached to your account after you opt in.
Make a deposit that meets the minimum required for the offer. The exact amount is stated in the promotion details.
Enter the bonus code if one is shown for the offer. Without the code, the deposit may not trigger the bonus.
Confirm that the bonus appears in your balance or bonus section. If it is missing, stop and contact support before playing.
Start playing only after the bonus is visible. Play before activation does not count toward the conditions.

Each step protects your eligibility. Skipping the opt-in is the most common reason a bonus never appears. The deposit method you choose can also affect whether the bonus is granted. Some payment options are excluded from bonus qualification, so check the list before you deposit. The bonus code field is easy to miss on the deposit screen. If you forget it, the deposit may process without the bonus attached. Play before the bonus shows in your balance does not count. Support can often help, but only if you contact them before you start playing.

Conditions to Check

The table below lists the conditions that decide how the bonus behaves in your account. At https://pointsbetlogin.com, the same rules apply whether you play on desktop or on your phone browser.

Term	What it means	What to check
Wagering requirement	How many times you must play the bonus before withdrawing	Whether the multiplier applies to the bonus alone or bonus plus deposit
Eligible games	The games that count toward the wagering	Which game categories are excluded or contribute less
Maximum bet	The largest stake allowed while the bonus is active	The stake limit per spin or per bet
Expiry	The period before the bonus and any winnings are removed	The exact deadline shown in your bonus balance
Withdrawal cap	The most you can withdraw from bonus winnings	Whether winnings above the cap are forfeited

Players misread the wagering base more than any other term. They assume it applies to the bonus alone, but many offers apply it to both the bonus and the deposit. That difference changes how much play is needed to clear the bonus. A smaller bonus with a bonus-only base can be easier to clear than a larger one based on both. The maximum bet rule is the second most misread condition. Exceeding it even once can void the bonus and any winnings tied to it.

Wagering in Numbers

The example below is illustrative only. It does not reflect the actual terms of any Pointsbet bonus.

Start with the formula. Wagering target equals the base amount multiplied by the wagering multiplier. The base is the figure the operator applies the multiplier to. That is where most confusion begins.

Worked example: deposit 10 with a wagering multiplier of x35. If the base is the deposit only, the target is 350 in total stakes. If the base is deposit plus bonus, the target is higher by the same multiplier applied to the bonus.

Each stake you place adds to your progress. A stake of 1 moves you 1 closer to the target. Only eligible games count, so progress can stall if you switch to an excluded game.

The maximum bet rule limits each stake while the bonus is active. Exceeding it can void the bonus and any winnings from it, even if you had nearly finished the wagering.

A larger bonus is not always easier to clear. A smaller bonus with a lower total target can be finished faster. The multiplier and the base matter more than the headline figure.

Progress resets if you withdraw before completing the wagering. Keep a simple record of your stakes so you know where you stand. The worked example above shows the method, not the brand’s figures.

Free Spins Rules

Free spins usually arrive as a separate bonus with their own conditions. Each spin has a fixed value, and that value sets the base for any winnings. Winnings from spins often go to a bonus balance rather than cash. That balance then carries its own wagering requirement.

Spins are often limited to specific slot games. Using them on another game may not be possible, or may not count. The expiry on spins is usually shorter than the expiry on the main bonus. Unused spins are removed at the deadline, so use them before then.

Some offers split spins into daily batches. Each batch has its own deadline, and missing one does not pause the others. The maximum bet rule applies to spin winnings as well. Treat the spins as part of the same bonus, not a separate gift.

Withdrawal caps can apply to spin winnings. Anything above the cap is usually removed when you withdraw. The spin value is fixed, so your result depends on the game’s outcome, not your stake choice. Check which game the spins are tied to before you start.

If you forget to use the spins, they simply expire. There is no credit for unused spins. Plan your sessions so each batch is used before its deadline. The conditions are shown when the spins are credited.

Spin winnings are not cash until the wagering is complete. Treat them as bonus money from the moment they land. This keeps your expectations aligned with the withdrawal rules. The same care you apply to the main bonus applies here.

Which Games Count

Game contribution is the share of each stake that counts toward wagering. Slots usually contribute in full, but not always. Table games often contribute less or not at all. The promotion details list the contribution for each category.

A full contribution means every unit you stake counts as one unit of progress. A partial contribution means only part of the stake counts. A zero contribution means the game does not help you clear the bonus. Choosing an excluded game can stall your progress entirely.

Live casino games often carry a low contribution or none. If you prefer live tables, the bonus may take longer to clear. Some offers exclude live games from the bonus altogether. The list is shown with the offer before you opt in.

Switching between games is allowed, but progress follows the contribution rates. A session on a low-contribution game moves you slowly. A session on a full-contribution game moves you at the normal rate. Plan your play around the games that count.

The maximum bet rule applies across all eligible games. A high stake on a low-contribution game still counts against the limit. Keep your stakes within the limit whatever game you choose. The rule protects the bonus from being cleared too quickly.

Contribution rates are part of the offer, not a hidden extra. They are listed alongside the wagering requirement. Knowing them before you play saves wasted sessions. Use them to pick games that fit your style and the bonus.

Traps to Avoid

Most bonus problems come from a few repeated mistakes. Each one is easy to avoid once you know it.

Playing before opting in. The system does not attach the bonus retroactively. Opt in first, then deposit and play.
Ignoring the maximum bet rule. One stake above the limit can void the bonus. Set your stake within the limit before every session.
Playing excluded games. Progress stays at zero while you play them. Check the eligible game list before you start.
Withdrawing before completing the wagering. The bonus and its winnings are removed. Finish the wagering first, then request the withdrawal.
Missing the expiry deadline. The bonus balance disappears when the period ends. Keep the deadline visible in your account.
Assuming the bonus is cash. It is bonus money until the conditions are met. Plan your play around the wagering target.
Ignoring the withdrawal cap. Winnings above the cap are removed. Know the cap before you clear the bonus.

Each trap has a simple fix. Opt in at the start, every time you claim an offer. Set your stake within the maximum before you spin. Use only eligible games for wagering progress. Finish the wagering before you request any withdrawal. Keep an eye on the expiry date in your bonus balance. Treat bonus money as bonus money until it converts. Know the withdrawal cap so there is no surprise at the end. These habits keep the bonus usable from start to finish.
